PIERLUIGI DE’ LUTTI

Biography

Pierluigi de Lutti was born in Monfalcone on 23 August 1959. At the age of 17 he left the family home and joined Ferrara, where for several years he alternated his studies with sporting activity. The interest in art has always lived in him – he graduated from the ‘Institute of Art – is manifested in the 80s when he returned to Friuli to contact the New Space gallery of Luciano Chinese and the critic of Art Paolo Rizzi, who will follow him until his death in 2006. The artistic fulguration, however, comes with the attendance of the atelier of the Master Giuseppe Zigaina. For a long time the poet Mario Stefani wrote about him. In those years he began to exhibit the first works appreciated by the public and by critics not only local. In the 90s he attended for long periods courses of abstraction in Los Angeles and N.York passing from the figurative to the informal, immediately receiving a great success with the public who still follows him with interest in his artistic development. The MoMa of New York after having selected a work in 2005 “double wound 2001” invites him to enter the The Artist Viewing Program by inserting the current Spiritualism catalog in the library of the museum. In 2008, 2nd place at the Boe ‘international award, he was awarded a degree in art history from the University of Verbano.
