Biography
Emergent artist from the Salento region great success of public and critics with his Giganteschio. Bizarre work but also reassuring: dressing the death of shocking colors, pasting on a skull a myriad of small toys, reassures, in fact. Not surprisingly, as the same Fabrizio Fontana, says his entire artistic career wheel on fun. And irony. Note the Barbie undressed standing undisturbed on the skull of the poor Giganteschio.
The irreverent path of Fabrizio Fontana, based for most of his activity on the reuse of objects belonging to the playful sphere twist without censorship controversy, passing through the “Giganteschio”, now leads to the series “GT”. Here the element symbol for excellence of the negativity and anguish, the skull is to be represented with enamels and resins, almost sketchy, as if to create it was the hand of a child. Even at this moment Fontana omit the element of the game, bringing it to contrast of a strong and prevailing reality that seems to cover it.
